10 Foods Rich in Vitamin A: Beta Carotene & Retinol

Visible effect of Vitamin A deficiency is "night blindness". Person is not able to see in darker places. Later stages consists of irreversible damage to eyes. Vitamin A deficiency is very common nutrient deficiency, especially in preschoolers.

1. Green leafy veggies: spinach, amaranth, drumstick leaves.

2. Non-vegetarian sources: eggs, yolk, chicken liver

3. Fruits: apricot, guava, mango, papaya (ripe), watermelon

4. Carrots (of course!)

5. Pumpkin

6. Garnishes, such as coriander leaves
